ELCAT designs and manufactures automated machines and production lines for the food industry, developing tailor-made solutions for customers in Italy and worldwide.

From mechanical and software engineering to component manufacturing, assembly and testing, most of the process is carried out directly at our facility in Sanfrè (CN), Italy.

PLC & Automation Programmers​​

ELCAT is seeking PLC and automation programmers for software development related to PLC systems and robotic handling.

Key responsibilities:

  • Development of control logic and PLC programming.

  • Configuration and programming of Schneider, Siemens, and Allen-Bradley systems.

  • Diagnostic signal analysis and technical support for existing and new installations.

  • Collaboration within the existing technical team and initial training period provided.

Language skills:

  • Native-level Italian.

  • Good written and spoken English.

Travel availability:

  • Willingness to travel nationally and internationally for customer support (10%–15% of working days).​​

​CNC Machine Operators​

Work schedule: Full-time

ELCAT is looking for CNC Machine Operators to join the machining department for the operation of 3-axis Haas CNC machining centers.

Main tasks:

  • Machine programming, loading/unloading parts, setup, and quality control.

  • Dimensional inspection of machined components.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience with CNC machining centers (preferably Haas).

  • Ability to read mechanical technical drawings.

  • Proficiency with measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, dial indicators).

  • Accuracy, reliability, and operational autonomy.

  • Good knowledge of ISO programming.​

Mechanical Assemblers​​​

Work schedule: Full-time
Contract type: Direct employment (following evaluation period)

​Requirements:

  • Technical diploma or vocational qualification in mechanics.

  • Preferably under 35 years of age.

  • Basic mechanical knowledge and assembly techniques.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

  • Experience using measuring instruments.

  • Team-oriented mindset, precision, and reliability.

  • Problem-solving skills.

Language skills:

  • Native-level Italian.

  • Good written and spoken English.

Travel availability:

3D Mechanical Design Engineer

Location: Sanfrè (CN), Viale Industria 9
Work schedule: Full-time
Contract type: Permanent (subject to trial period)

To strengthen its Technical Department, ELCAT Srl is looking for a 3D Mechanical Designer with experience in designing automated machines and systems for the food packaging industry.

Key responsibilities:

  • Mechanical design of customized machinery and systems, in collaboration with the engineering team.

  • 3D modeling of assemblies and components using CAD software.

  • Preparation of manufacturing drawings and bill of materials for internal production and external suppliers.

  • Collaboration with the workshop to ensure technical feasibility of designs.

  • Development of new technical solutions and continuous improvement of existing equipment.

Requirements:

  • Technical diploma or degree (mechanical or mechatronic field).

  • At least 2–3 years of experience in mechanical design.

  • Excellent knowledge of 3D CAD software (preferably Inventor).

  • Solid understanding of mechanical processes and manufacturing techniques.

  • Strong teamwork skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.

  • Intermediate knowledge of English is a plus.
